Inefficient Market Theory

The Inefficient Market Theory states that the market price of tradable securities is often above or below the true discounted value of that security's future cash flows (ie overpriced and underpriced). The primary argument for this is the existance of market spikes and crashes (according to the efficient market theory, these spikes and crashes cannot and do not exist). This theory also hypothesises that certain informed traders have the ability to exceed market returns (and more) at the expence of others by using these trends.
